Last year we flew the coup for Central America and found ourselves in a vibrant and colorful culture unlike anything we have ever experienced. We lived life with a Guatemalan family, experienced full immersion in language school, escaped to a tiny island in azure seas and took up scuba, learned to surf El Salvador-style, and witnessed the miracle of Semana Santa in our home away from home, Antigua. Along the way we made amazing friends, figured out the Guatemalan hospital system, and now know that erupting volcanos sound like a lion roaring. Family travel is sometimes annoying, usually awesome, and always entertaining. Our home base is Durango, CO and we have figured out how to go big on a small budget.
We leave again in 3 weeks for a European Adventure and to meet our oldest, Max, who is beginning his Gap Year by sailing on a tall ship from Nova Scotia to France. We are excited to be diving headfirst into adventure, again!
Let us show you the way!
